OUR HISTORY
The club was founded and incorporated
in 1965 by a group of shooting sports enthusiasts who wanted to offer local residents the opportunity to have a facility that allowed them to compete within the club and region with trap shooting. Overtime, the club has grown to include skeet, rifle and pistol ranges to meet the ever changing demands of the shooting sports community.
With the aid of volunteers, two trap fields,
two pistol ranges, and both a 100 and
200 yard rife target area have been developed, along with a modern clubhouse. We've come a long way in
our first 60 years; from a once rural
farm to a premier sports shooting facility.
Located outside of the village, the club owns extensive acreage which protects
the rural character and uses the natural topography of the land to create a
natural backstop for shooting activities.
OUR CLUB
Ellicottville Sportsmen Incorporated is a registered nonprofit, all volunteer club dedicated to promoting environmental conservation and shooting sports activities.
Our focus is on shooting sports, hunter education, and pistol training. With significant acreage, we offer seasonal hunting exclusively for our members. Join us to experience the thrill of the great outdoors.
2 ATA regulation trap ranges with voice calling and enclosed heated officials scoring stand.

Our trap, skeet and pistol flex range are lighted for evening and after sunset use.
100- yard and 200- yard rifle target range with benches at 100/200 and 50/150 along with steel clangers.
2 pistol ranges. Our upper range is a multi yardage target backstop with steel clangers. Our lower range is a flex area with in-ground target stands. Using portable stands we can set it up for competition style practical shooting events, small or large group instruction classes. Benchmark lines in-ground show 3, 5, 7, 10 and 15 yards. We can accommodate up to 40 yard targets.

Range and Facilities Use Policy
Our facilities are designed for the exclusive enjoyment of our members, who are welcome to bring a guest but must accompany them at all times. Occasionally, The Club hosts events and programs open to the public, such as training classes, visiting leagues, and open shoot events. We encourage good sportsmanship and the shared use of our ranges on a first-come, first-served basis, while also noting that scheduled events take priority over individual member usage. Always check the official club calendar prior to getting set up or starting an activity. All visitors are required to sign a facilities use waiver agreement
RIFLE AND SHOTGUN

Welcome to our dynamic rifle and shotgun patterning range, designed exclusively for our members. Our rifle range features a covered 200-yard shooting bench equipped with target holders and metal clangers at 100 and 200 yards. For those looking to enhance their marksmanship, we offer an open-air bench as well. Additionally, a separate shotgun patterning target holder is available to ensure your gun is ready for the season ahead. Remember, all ranges operate on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved on the official club calendar.

SAFETY REMINDER - Our ranges are closed during certain hunting seasons. Please watch for notices from the Club Secretary, signs posted at the lower shooting bench and our online calendar.
